Featured Speakers

Dr. Shira Ackerman attended NYU College of Dentistry where she was inducted as a member of the prestigious OKU Honors Society. She graduated with her D.D.S. degree and the E. J. Bushee Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership. Motivated by her love for bringing relief to patients in pain while helping them maintain their natural teeth, Dr. Ackerman enrolled in Texas A&M’s rigorous post-doctoral residency in Endodontics. During her residency, Dr. Ackerman became fascinated by the ways cutting edge technology can be used to improve patient care. She decided to pursue research in this area and received the AAE Foundation award for the top-scoring resident research proposal in the nation. Her research was published in the Journal of Endodontics (45:5) and has been cited in the premier endodontic textbook Cohen’s Pathways of the Pulp (12th edition).Dr. Ackerman loves the everyday challenge involved in performing intricate dentistry while at the same time keeping the patient’s comfort and experience at the forefront of her mind. In recognition of her work, Dr. Ackerman has been inducted as a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, an acknowledgment of the highest level of achievement in the field. She is involved in her local and national dental societies including the AAE, ADA, TDA, NTDS, and the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. When not involved in patient care, you will likely find Dr. Ackerman exploring the local trails with her husband and four adventurous children.

Matthew Kinstler DMD MS
Dr. Matthew Kinstler is originally from Glendale, Arizona. He earned his dental degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine before serving five years as a general dentist in the United States Army under the Health Professions Scholarship Program.
Dr. Kinstler completed his specialty training in endodontics at Fort Bragg under the mentorship of Dr. Steve Delgado. His passion for education led him to serve as the endodontics mentor for a two-year AEGD program, eventually transitioning into the role of Assistant Program Director for the Fort Bragg Endodontics Residency. He currently serves as the Program Director at Fort Bragg, overseeing the clinical and academic development of eight endodontic residents.
Dr. Kinstler is passionate about developing the next generation of endodontists and advancing the specialty through innovation, mentorship, and high clinical standards. His four great loves in endodontics are pre-bent hand files, patency, apical fireworks, and cone pumping — some would affectionately call him an “apical barbarian.”

Dr. Rick Schwartz was a restorative dentist for 19 years prior to entering post-graduate training in endodontics.  He attended a 2-year general dentistry residency, and then did a combination of private practice, teaching and dental materials research before entering endodontic training in 1996.  He has authored over 100 publications and was a cover author on 3 editions of “Fundamentals of Operative Dentistry” by Quintessence Publishing Co. He is first author of the book “Best Practices in Endodontics”, and is a cover author of “Advanced CBCT for Endodontics”.  For the past 28 years he has been in full time private practice limited to endodontics in San Antonio, TX.  He has lectured extensively in the U.S. and in 20 other countries.

Joseph Stern, D.D.S., completed his postdoctoral endodontic residency at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he also earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Stern currently serves as the Director of Endodontics at Touro College of Dental Medicine. He is an active lecturer and has presented at numerous professional meetings, including the Greater New York Dental Meeting and the New Jersey Dental Association Annual Session. Over the past five years, he has published multiple articles on a range of topics within the field of endodontics. He maintains a private practice in NJ at Clifton Endodontics.

Steven K. Huffaker, DMD, MDS
Dr. Steven Huffaker is an endodontist and owner of Mountain View Endodontics in Queensbury, New York. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine and completed his Master of Dental Science (MDS) degree and specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
In private practice, Dr. Huffaker focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pulpal and periapical disease with an emphasis on preserving natural teeth and helping patients achieve predictable, long-term outcomes. He enjoys collaborating with general dentists to solve complex clinical problems and improve the overall patient experience.
Dr. Huffaker's lectures emphasize practical concepts, common pitfalls, and lessons learned from real-world clinical outcomes, with the goal of improving results for patients, general dentists, and specialists alike.

Why Attend? A Message from Dr. Yehuda Isseroff

The Endoisms WhatsApp group was created in 2021 by Dr. Craig Berry. Over the years, our community has grown to more than 600 dentists and specialists, with our inaugural live meeting taking place in 2023. In 2024, I founded the EndoResto Discourse community to expand opportunities for learning and collaboration. EndoResto26 continues that mission by bringing our community together for a day of exceptional continuing education and networking. Our mission is to attract clinicians who are passionate about preserving natural teeth through outstanding education, thoughtful discussion, and lasting professional relationships. In my opinion, there is no better dental community to be a part of than this one. Whether you're an active contributor, an occasional reader, or simply a lurker, EndoResto26 is for everyone who shares a passion for saving teeth. I can't wait to see everyone in November!-Yehuda
